We know you’re not exactly thrilled to hear this, but, we have to say it: finals season is coming up! Now, finals season doesn’t always have to be dreaded, as there are ways to cope with it using simple and effective methods. Here, we show you how:

1. Start with the subjects you find difficult to understand. Save the easy ones for later, and focus on the difficult ones first. This way, you’ll have more energy and motivation to study for the difficult ones. You can always come back to the easier ones and just do a refresher later on.

2. Ask your teachers what the exams will cover. Knowing the scope of your exam and which topics to focus on will make it easier for you to study. You’ll save tons of time, too.

3. If you can, study at least a week in advance. Studying way too early can make you forget the things that you have learned. Cramming is a bad idea, too, as this can make you feel lethargic during the exams. Studying at least a week in advance is your best option. then right before the exams start, you can do a refresher to refresh your mind of the things that you have reviewed.

4. Try different learning techniques, and if you discover one that you find most effective for you, stick to it. This will save you a lot of time, and, trust me, studying and learning will be 10 times better for you.

5. Always remember to take small breaks. Walk in the park with your dog, take a stroll along your neighborhood, check your social media accounts, do whatever you need to do to make you feel relaxed. Breaks are always important. It’s like refueling your mind, as well as your body.
